Louisa Master Gardeners

Ongoing Projects

Master Gardeners are volunteers and educators and provide a valuable service resource to the community.  Because of Master Gardeners, the seniors at the Betty Queen Center in Louisa enjoy a monthly gardening club and the Louisa Town Park and the Buckner/Bumpass Park are enhanced by plantings.  Volunteers for Brackett’s Farm developed an 1800’s herb garden in keeping with that historic property.  From helping to beautify Habitat for Humanity homes to holding workshops on rain barrels to registering participants in the Louisa County Agricultural Fair, Master Gardeners share their skills and time as volunteers.
